I vote NAY on that out of state member thing. Oh, I needed to be at the meeting to vote NAY? Damn!
I had an unfortunate reason for missing - my dad is very ill in Tennessee and Iām out here again to deal with both him and my mom who needs surgery this week. My dad had a pretty bad evening and I didnāt even recall the meeting until well after we got him settled into bed.
Anyway, the four play per season is no big deal - Iāll be playing at least that many times each year. If not? Oh well, I guess Iāll reestablish.
Sorry I missed you all but will be up in May, so Iāll see you then.

This was one of the most productive meetings in the realm of Elmtree history.
A quorum was present and with the exception of 1 motion that had ' 3NAYs', All other Motions passed UNANIMOUSLY.
1) 2020 OFFICERS re-elected
2) Dues WAIVED for 2021 season
3) All players must play from the WHITE Tees for Closest-to-the-Pin holes. Seniors playing the GOLD Tees may OPT OUT of participating in the CTP action.
4) All ELMTREE financial transactions, Greens fee & Cart payments and payouts, will be handled electronically. NO CASH (2-2-2 is not an ELMTREE transaction)
5) CANCELLED any COVID-19 Putting Rules in effect.Ā
6) Newly Fenced area below WEST-11 green is considered "The Shit"[Lateral Hazard]. See that rule as to how to proceed.Ā
7) Players will no longer receive any special treatment if their ball is near or in the 150yd markers (Randy Bushes).
8) Rolling in your own fairway has been Eliminated. Players in your group can decide if the ball is in an area that can be classified as 'Ground Under Repair'. If 'GUR', ball can only be KICKED to new area. Not Lift, CleanĀ & Placed OR Dropped
9) LIFT, CLEAN & PLACE is permitted from the fairway of hole you are playing that is CART PATH ONLY.
10) BUNKERS: For the entire 2021 season, You may LIFT, CLEAN & FOOT RakeĀ a ball in the bunker
11) IDENTIFYNIG YOUR BALL: You must notify a player in your group if you need to move your ball in order to identify it. SEE USGA RULE #7 for proper way to IDENTIFY YOUR BALL. [3 NAYs]
12) EMPHASIZE - PUTT EVERYTHING OUT. NO GIMMEES.
13) OUT OF STATE Members must post 4 ELMTREE rounds in the prior season to keep their Quota Active. Failure to meet this minimum will result in player having to RE-ESTABLISH their QUOTA.Ā Ā
14) TOURNAMENTS: April 18, July 18, September 26
15) A new WEBSITE is in testing that will allow us to enter scores, generate teams & determine payouts. It will be used in parallel with the current paper method to validate it is functioning as expected for several weeks. Once it is in accepted, APPROVAL to use 1/2 points when assigning quota to Front & Back has been approved. This WEBSITE's Costs of approx. $4/month has been Approved.
16) NON-VOTED: EMPHASIZE that there is no FREE relief if your ball comes to rest on Tree Roots or rocks
